Somewhere, long ago,
From someone I loved dearly
I heard her say,
“What we think, we become.”
As a child, I took her literally.
For years and to some extent to this day,
I dream my life awake
With the certainty that I am.
It shall be so.
For I think.
However,
Experience has shown me
That if we are indeed
A product of our thoughts,
Our future is in peril.
this is heartfelt and beautiful. I recently created a new blog titled my life awake and in searching for it came across this post. the line "I dream my life awake with the certainty that I am" is everything I meant and wanted to say, when I titled my blog. well, one of two things... at any rate just thought you should know I'm glad I accidentally ran across your writing and that I found it meaningful.
