If There Was a God
Clearly the aim in creation was to make our lives insufferable. If He/She had created me slow of wit, blind or deaf, perhaps I would not be as certain. However, in view of circumstance, perhaps we should resign ourselves to the will of the creator and cease our search for happiness.

ah, but if your life were predestined, this would be part of it and it would include your resignation of your pursuit of happiness. It's a catch 22 often used by religion.
