Perhaps it is a combination of love and achievement. Love often stems from fascination, attraction, and desire...all of those things are accentuated by someone who has just overcome great obstacle. It is further self-enforcing because that achievement can be shared with someone - it is summed up in the classic tale of knight rescuing a princess from the castle inhabited by a dragon.

ReplyDeleteI must admit that I say this, not from first hand experience. I have listened carefully to those which have had it..A love they could not have.
