The Ills of Religion

Particularly of Christianity and their belief that they will be forgiven on Sunday for the sins which were committed on Saturday and shall be repeated on Monday

Born Again Christians

Are a bigger pain in the ass the second time around.

I Don't Believe

Because

I can not find a reason.

Of Doubt

I fear in my daily determination to be misunderstood, for unlike the fools and fanatics which are so often heard from, I wish not to be included.  Perhaps I should have kept silent or perhaps I should have dedicated the month to another topic.  However, I assure all, that as any wise man, although not of  religion, I do have doubts.

Who's Mistake was it Anyway?

Was it really God’s mistake?  Did he really erred when he created some of the monsters mankind has endured? Is your suggestion that your God may also be infallible?  Or was the mistake mankind’s, did we erred when we created God?

It Is Clear

It is not our lack of faith and belief which is destroying our society but our willing to.

A Task For Our Religious Leaders

If our religious leaders could put their head together and attempt to solve the ills of society, the world would be a far better place... 
On second thought, I would much prefer if they put their heads where they fit best.

An Observance

I don’t recall praise of intellect in any religious thought..

The Problems With Religion Are:

The Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist, Sikhs, Jews...

I Maintain

The real danger to our society and to our civilization is not our doubt, our disbelief, but our illogical and false need to believe.

Faith

Blind faith is the prerequisite in any religion.  My dilemma with this thought is that to acquire this blind faith, blind reason is required.

If There Was a God

Clearly the aim in creation was to make our lives insufferable.  If He/She had created me slow of wit, blind or deaf, perhaps I would not be as certain.  However, in view of circumstance, perhaps we should resign ourselves to the will of the creator and cease our search for happiness.

Religion is a superstition.

Fear is the primary cause of superstitions.

If It Requires Proof

I can not find much worth on anything which requires to be proven.  It is such that I find no worth in religion.

Not Me

All religious beliefs are in the hope of immortality.  I have no desire for either.

Still Searching

 I have yet to find a rational basis for any organized religion.

My Belief

The widespread decline of religion is clearly due to higher
learning.

Religion

Is a crutch for those which are unable to stand up on their own to the uncertainties of life.

How Long has it Been?

I was an Atheist long before my first confession.

Only an Illusion

Unable to swim, 

Instinctually, we reach for whatever is at grasp.

Similarly, it is with religion.  

It gains strength and popularity,

Only because it falls within our instinctual desire 

To save ourselves.

To Become an Atheist

It requires careful reading and re-reading, a thorough study and analyzation of The Bible.

Why?

Why would I wish to believe in someone or something, which required so much praise for doing so much harm?

More people have been slaughtered for the cause of religion than for any other cause.

I shall dedicate this month to religious thought and the existence of God or a Creator.

I shall begin with a question which was posed to me last night. 

How does one speak to a child regarding the difficult topics which they often choose to address?

A child's questions regarding Religion/God:

My first thought was the fact they are asking the question.  This demonstrates to me that children, all children, are clearly atheistic.  If we did not infect them, I'm certain they would not suffer from the ailments of religion.

Our Task

Our lives are only a moment and our happiness are seconds of our moment. 

Our task is to make every second last a lifetime.
